  • 2-8 Players

Objective:

Out, is a strategic game in which the objective is to get rid of all of your cards.

Contents:

  • 65 cards as follows:
  • 60 numbered cards – 5 sets of 1-12 in yellow, blue, green, red, and black
  • 5 Bonus Cards

$10.99

Rules / How to Play:

Deal out the entire pack of cards, one at a time, to all the players. Each player is forced to play a card when they have a play. If you have a play and you decide to “skip” that is called a “forced renege” play and you are no longer able to win the game. If you are unable to play a card you must “pass” or “knock”.

The player to the direct left of the dealer plays first. You can only start the game with a “Bonus Card”, otherwise they will knock, and the turn passes to the left. If the player has a bonus card in any suit, the player is required to play it. This is done by placing the card face-up in the center of the table, If the player doesn’t not have a bonus card, the player is then able to “pass” or “knock” to the next player. If a player has more than one bonus card, they can choose which bonus card in the suit they would like to play. Once the bonus card is down, the next player has the option to make one of the following moves

  • They may play a bonus card in another suit if the player has one. If the player wants to play the bonus card, place it to the left or right of the bonus card.
  • They may build up or down on any bonus card. This means if you have a “6” or an “7” in the same suit, you can lay the card down at the top of bottom of the bonus card.
  • If the player does not have any of the moves listed above, (if available) they can pick a card from the Draw Pile; otherwise, they “pass” or “knock”.

The only valid plays are to lay the card of that same color suit immediately above or below any other tabled card. Any colored bonus card starts a new row for its suit. The first player who succeeds in playing all of their cards is the winner.

Learning Game for Kids (Pre-K and up)

The versatility of the “Be The First Out™” deck can also be used as a learning tool for Preschoolers. Use as flash cards to teach them their numbers and colors.

Help teach children to count up to 12 and help them to recognize the numeral with these flash cards. Teach them the primary colors.

How to use them as Flashcards

Make sure your child is in a good mood before you commence a lesson as it is important that they are attentive.

  • Sit your child opposite you
  • Present one flash card at a time to your child
  • Say the number or color as the flashcard appears
  • Present the flashcards as quickly as possible

When you feel that your child is ready, give them the opportunity to recite the number. If they get stuck or take too long, offer a prompt. Otherwise, read it out yourself and keep moving. Remember to keep it fun and exciting. Repetition and fun is the key to success.

Turn it into a game for the kids

Rules/How to Play
  •  Up to 5 children can play at a time.
  • Separate the flashcards by colors and place each color in a separate stack so that there are a total of 5 stacks of cards (yellow, blue, green, red, and black).
  • Shuffle the cards up well so that they are not in any order
  • Give each child their own color suite of flashcards (example: yellow stack of cards number 1-12 and the yellow Bonus Card)
  • Have your child place the cards in numerical order from 1-12. The last card to place after the number 12 is the “Bonus Card (OUT)”. This would signify that the child is out. The first child to get out wins.

This is an incredibly fun, fast paced, friendly- competitive, group game!!! “No one leaves this table till I win” was said multiple times last night 😄 Thank You to the creators of this game for such a fun, safe, inclusive option for family night. This has become my favorite game!

We had an absolute blast playing this game! It’s incredibly easy to learn, so you’re jumping right into the action in no time. The fast-paced gameplay keeps you on your toes as you constantly strategize which card to play next. Sure, you want to be the first one out—but helping someone else beat you to it? No chance. It’s clever, competitive, and pure every-player-for-themselves fun from start to finish. 🎉🃏

This game is a blast! So easy to learn, but every time you play you discover another strategy. This game incredibly fun!!

  5. Keri Carrillo

This is such a fast, fun game! It’s easy to learn but offers still requires strategy, which keeps every round interesting. The pace is quick, so there’s no waiting around or losing momentum, and each game feels different thanks to the many ways you can plan and outthink the other players. It’s perfect for all ages—great for family game nights, casual get-togethers, or even competitive players who enjoy smart strategy without complicated rules. We’ve played it multiple times in one sitting and it never gets old. Highly recommend!

This is a family favorite as well as my grandmother new favorite card game! I just introduced it to my afterschool elementary kiddos and they got the hang of the game immediately! The way that they got the concept of being strategic with their moves and controlling the board as well as using their problem solving skills had them winning against me the third round lol. Needless to say, purchasing an extra deck was well worth it. Kudos to the makers of this game!!

Listen… I bought Be The First Out on a whim and didn’t think much of it. But the way this game had my whole family yelling, laughing, and talking trash? Yeah, it’s a hit.

The rules are simple — like, actually simple — so we didn’t spend 20 minutes trying to figure stuff out. We were playing in no time. And it moves QUICK. One minute you think you’re winning, next minute somebody hits you with a card that messes your whole plan up. It’s chaotic in the best way.

What I really liked is that everybody could jump in. My little cousins played right along with my older aunties and uncles, and everybody understood what was going on. No long explanations. No confusion. Just good vibes and loud moments.

It kinda gives UNO energy, but smoother and without all the extra rules people make up. And it’s perfect for family nights, cookouts, game nights — all that.

If you’re looking for something easy, fun, and guaranteed to bring the jokes and competitiveness out of your people, go ahead and get this. For real.

Great game and easy to learn for children and adults! Games are quick, competitive, requires strategy and skill. Our 4 year old learned to play on the first game and had the added benefit of teaching her numbers, colors, and how to use those numbers and color combinations to win. Fun for 4 players to play and hours of fun. Would highly recommend as an easy and fun game to learn that gets competitive.
